YouTube Audio Filtering
YouTube Audio Filtering is a free Chrome add-on developed by NextGen Filtering. This program allows users to filter out swearwords they hear in YouTube videos based on their own preferences.
With YouTube Audio Filtering, users can choose which words they do not want to hear and let the add-on take care of the rest. The add-on works by using the closed caption files attached to YouTube videos to find swearwords and their timings. When the selected words appear in the captions, YouTube Audio Filtering mutes the video.
It is important to note that the effectiveness of YouTube Audio Filtering is dependent on the accuracy of the caption files for each video. If the caption timings are off, the add-on may not perform well. Additionally, if a video does not have any caption files attached, YouTube Audio Filtering will be unavailable for that video until captions are added.
Please note that YouTube Audio Filtering only works on videos hosted on youtube.com.
